CDC Fraser is a high-yielding two-row malting barley with a good disease package, large plump kernels and excellent lodging resistance. This variety has excellent brewing qualities.

  • Yields are the same as check variety AAC Synergy, also 14% higher than AC Metcalfe, 8% higher than CDC Copeland
  • Shorter and stronger straw and good resistance to lodging
  • Resistant to spotted Net Blotch, Spot Blotch, and Loose Smut.
  • Moderately Resistant to Netted Net Blotch, and Stem Rust
  • Intermediate Resistant to Fusarium Head Blight
  • Moderately Susceptible to Scald and Root Rot
  • Maturity date similar to the CDC Copeland

  • Malt enzyme activity between AC Metcalfe and CDC Copeland
  • Low beta-glucan content
  • FAN levels lower than AC Metcalfe
  • High brewhouse efficiency
